November 2025 Fabric Sale, Gifts to Sew & Doll Packaging
Fabric Redistribution Sale - We downsized fabric stashes and made a little cash for members and the chapter.
Gifts to Sew - It’s was getting close Christmas! Members shared gift ideas.
Doll Packaging  - We packaged dolls, clothes, and accessories for donation to disadvantaged children in our area. One hundred dolls with multiple outfits were on the way to Marshalltown, thanks to Rita.
October 2025 Serger Use and Care
Emily Rairden, the resident sewing machine & serger expert at University Sewing and Vacuum gave us some pointers on serger use and care.
September 2025 Stripes Challenge & State Fair Entries
Members showed there creativity and sewing skills.

June 2025 - Fabric Dyeing - Rebecca Kemble
We explored various dyeing techniques with Central Iowa member, Becky. She displayed yards and yards of fabric that she had dyed over the years. 
May 2025 - Sewing for the Home - School House
Members and non-members shared their tips, tricks, and creativity for Sewing for the Home! Here’s a sampling of what we  learned:
Drapery dilemmas, pool noodle cushions, slipcovers that don’t look like slipcovers, pillows & trims, clothesline baskets, blue-ribbon quilt tips, table runners, piping and cording.

April 2025 - Cosplay - ISU Cosplay Club
The Iowa State University Cosplay Club presented several aspects of cosplay including sewing, foam work, make-up, prop building, wig styling, panel creation, photography, posing, competing, and more.
March 2925 - Annual Style Show
The annual Style Show, the traditional highlight of the December meeting, was rescheduled to March due to fierce winter weather. The show featured members' makes from 2024 (and early 2025) and vintage sewing projects from the annual challenge.

February 2025 - Pockets A Plenty - Joi Bostic
Joi stimulated our pocket creativity.  So many patterns come without pockets or just your everyday run-of-the-mill plain pockets. As creators, we want to make our projects unique down to the smallest detail. Pockets are a great place to accomplish this detail.
January 2025 - Tour of Ginny's Fine Fabrics
Ginny showed us what her store has to offer the sewist making her own clothing with fine quality fabrics in fashion colors that create an actual wardrobe, instead of a random selection of clothes that do not work together.
