No Chapter meeting. Check out the Iowa State Fair Fabrics & Threads exhibit on the second floor of the Varied Industries building. Members will be teaching a Zipper Pouch class on Sunday, August 11 (10:00 am/2:00 pm) and Saturday, August 17 (10:00 am/2:00pm). September 21, 2024
Anniversary Celebration Celebrate 34+ years of Central Iowa Chapter , ASG! Learn about the Chapter history through games and fun activities. Lots of prizes. Luncheon served. Decades of Style Show. - Sew a garment using a pattern and/or fabric from before 2000. - Wear or display items you made before 2000. - Refashion articles of vintage clothing. - Create modern garments with vintage-inspired flair. - Sew doll clothes using vintage designs. Up to three outfits can be shown at our anniversary celebration on September 21st, but you can enter the prize drawing for each item made. Monthly meetings are on Saturday mornings at Trinity United Methodist Church in Huxley (unless otherwise noted). Meetings are open to the public. The meeting fee is $3 for members and non-members. Guests may attend up to two meetings prior to joining the chapter. Gathering at 9:00, program at 9:15.
