Members presented techniques to add polish to button-down shirts. We learned how to create great collars, sew sharp sleeve and button plackets, and use the burrito method to construct a yoke.

Members shopped second-hand stores, the free table and their stash for fabric. They cut, sewed mended, recycled and refashioned for several months to create fabulous sustainable garments and more.

Gretchen Bohling talked about her fashion brand promoting ethical and sustainable design. She creates one of a kind, bespoke custom garments and offers alterations and mending to save worn clothing. In addition to her design and alterations background, she has experience in wholesale, retail, styling and dressing.
